Shopping for my Brother

When the Tigers won the American League Championship and the season came to a close, I’m pretty sure my brother was ready to leave the baseball diamond for a while. He knew how much I loved the game and he was with me anytime I wanted to watch the Tigers play. For all of his dedication in coming to games with me, I decided to get him something he would enjoy in return. He’s a huge football fan. Personally, I’m not one for contact sports, but the seemingly constant action in football keeps his interest, although it confuses me.

Anyway, he’s a big LSU Tigers fan. So, I went to the LSU Tiger Planet store, where I found tons of products to choose from! He’s an organized guy, so he’s big on always knowing what time it is. So, I picked him out an LSU Watch. I knew he’d love the sleek design with its stainless steel case back, adjustable sport buckle, mineral crystal lens, Japan quartz movement, water resistance up to 3 ATM. It also has a limited lifetime warranty. He put it on as soon as I gave it to him and raved about how comfortable and well designed it was.

I also picked him out a shirt because a true fan can never have enough gear for games or just to sport their pride. So I picked out this LSU shirt. He’s got a bold style, so I knew this color would suit him. It’s 100% cotton and he loved the softness of it. Therefore, it’s comfortable and lightweight. There are full chest screen print graphics on the front featuring the Tigers logo and the classic LSU font. I know he’ll get many uses out of this shirt such as going to the gym, football parties, games and even lounging around his apartment. It’s a great, essential and versatile article of clothing for any LSU fanatic!

I’ll have to keep the LSU Tiger Planet store in mind in the future for other friends! It was definitely an easy, affordable way to show my appreciation to my ridiculously loyal brother.

Celebrity Make Up Tips

What you are looking at here is a beautiful fresh face by one of America’s favorite sweethearts, Reese Witherspoon. You can catch her on the cover of Elle this month and find out some of her beauty secrets, but let’s focus on her cute little mug for a minute. I just love how this girl pulls off the fresh look with very little makeup and a clean, overall finish that is both luminous and just so refreshing. Beautiful! How can you do it? As always, the secret is in the product.

You may have heard a little bit about mineral makeup as of late. This is the secret. Mineral makeup is going to give you a beautiful translucent finish to your face without caking on the product. One of my faves is Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil from Sephora. This will virtually melt into your skin and infuse it with both an aura of softness and light. This product is completely sheer and will work on any skin tone to absorb any excess oil and reduce fine lines and pores. The beauty of this is that you can use this product either on its own, or over foundation, and you really don’t need all that much for a fabulous fresh finish. Dust some on after you moisturize or over your blush and you will be surprised by two things. First, what makeup you DO wear underneath this will last so much longer. And SECOND, if you choose to go sans makeup with the exception of your finishing powder, then you will be amazed at how finished you really look. Au naturale is always au so pretty.

This product comes in a few shades, and the first you see here is the Feather Light and it is completely sheer with a bit of light reflective pigments in it to give your face that extra sparkle. You can also try the Mineral Veil shade for a sheer look, or (far right) the Tinted Mineral Veil that adds some additional warm tones for a warm, matte finish. Either way, you will not be disappointed...like I was with these horrific shoes I once purchased.

Updates of the Middle East

Morocco and Spain (NASA, International Space S...

Ayman al-Zawahiri, Al Qaeda's number two, is calling for a jihad or holy war against Israel. Iran along with Syria explicitly backs Hezbollah and so apparently does Al Qaeda, at least morally. Maybe to the Neocons in the White House this might make a useful pretext to attack Iran or Syria. Although, I can't see the overstretched military being able to hold either of these countries once they're invaded. Meanwhile, these states are Al Qaeda sympathizers and may well work with them on the basis of your enemy is my enemy therefore lets be "friends."

In the meantime, the White House seems to be pursuing a strategy of surrounding its enemies. Such as Iran with military bases in Iraq and Afghanistan. For Syria that would Iraq, but if Hezbollah can be routed out of Lebanon, then a pro-US state will border Syria from the other side.

But coming back to Al Qaeda's latest attempt at stirring the pot there was something quite interesting in his statement.

"The war with Israel does not depend on cease-fires ... . It is a Jihad for the sake of God and will last until (our) religion prevails ... from Spain to Iraq." Islam was pushed back from Spain in the 15-16th centuries. Prior to the Muslim invasion it was no doubt European or Christian, but that apparently doesn't count. Once invaded it is claimed forever.

This comment about Spain has been made before. But it goes well beyond kicking the "infidel" out of so called holy countries like Saudi Arabia and other Middle East hot spots. Lets say the West went ahead with these demands, Al Qaeda apparently wouldn't be satisfied until Spain is under Shariah rule as well! Using their own distorted logic they shouldn't really complain about American boots stamping all over the Arab world. They're just doing what Islamic fanatics would do in Spain and no doubt beyond if they had the power. Having said that Spain receives a constant flood of North African Islamic illegals on a daily basis. Immigration and breeding is Islam's ultimate weapon of colonization and in the long-term it is a lot more effective than military action.

The continued radicalization of Islam does not bode well for multiculturalism and racial integration in Europe. In the coming years, one can foresee violent clashes and Islamic terrorism exploding across Europe as they demand that Europeans conform to their wishes. Some 10% of the French population is already Muslim. What happens when that hits 20%? and then 30%? At that point the stark contrasts between the values and belief systems of liberal western democracies with that of a fundamentalist religion will be glaring and deeply unpleasant. I wonder how the wishy washy lefties will talk their way out of that one, especially when their own values are shown the middle finger as well.

Eurabia here we come!

Dickies Clothing: Always Appropriate

Dickies(Photo credit: ladybugbkt)

Everyone knows that Dickies are worn for work, because they are made well and they are able to withstand even the toughest jobs. What people down know though, is that Dickies can be worn for almost any occasion. Dickies offers an extensive line of clothing for men, women, and children and different items can be chosen to match casual and dressy events.

Dickies are versatile and they can be worn when going out with the wife or girlfriend. Grey, blue or khaki shirts can be chosen and they match almost every color of Dickies pants. Even green or red pants will match Dickies shirts and ladies will always be impressed by interesting color combinations that are chosen by men. Men can even get away with being trendy when clothing selections are picked out. Pink shirts and plaid shorts are a good choice to look stunning and handsome, even if clothes are thrown on after a hard day's work.

Dickies are great for special occasions too. Maroon, navy and hunter green polo shirts can be worn to family outings and nobody will ever know that they were grabbed out of the closet and put on without any ironing. Khaki, brown and grey pants are best worn with polo shirts and of course they will match any color of shirt that is chosen.

Women and girls love to wear Dickies clothes out of the house as well, and they look just as great as when men put Dickies together. Little girls always look cute no matter what they wear, but clothes can become ruined easily when they play outside. Thankfully, Dickies clothes are always ready for the dirt and ketchup that comes with childhood. Lovely purple, pink, maroon, and navy polo shirts are offered for girls and feminine khaki skirts can be paired with these color options.

EUROVISION 2008: PANIC BY Rafaella

Yes guys, today I want to tell you that the most important this year in Eurovision is not to say that we will not win. Or even that we are tired of Chiki Chiki but we prefer to take another cursilada meaningless as every year . What matters is that the show where the song will be chosen this year is presented by Rafaella Carra .

I guess in TVE have prepared a good team of rescuers and several surgeons before the unexpected. And is that the last time we saw this lady was more than 12 years, and I was the poor who could not with his soul. I join to what other critics: if in our country we have real good professionals who can play the role perfectly, what about giving public money to a rundown fart for too long?

I still remember my trip with the school. We went to Italy. In one of the hotels we made friends with a group of Italians . Then there was the typical conversation tontísima cultural exchange plan "to see who knows more about the other country." It was like ...

we : Pizza! Pasta!

They : Yes! Very good! We sangria and paella like us!

Us : How cool! For we Leonardo Da Vinci! Ice cream! O Sole Mio!

They : Molto bello! Sevillanas, bulls, ole!

Us : Oh yeah? For Rafaella Carra!

They : noooooooooo! MAMMA MIA! AARGHHH! Vergogna! Peccato!!Anyway, we were to vary with import products . Although they also have his own holding to another old woman operated: Miguel Bose . But that's another story .

By the way, Do you guys think would win the Chiki Chiki?

Hugs and kisses!
